UK first press 1975.
Mid 70s solo Daltrey, stepping out from The Who with a mix of big ballads, funky grooves and that unmistakable powerhouse voice. It doesn’t have the bombast of his main gig, but there’s a looseness here that suits him - like he’s trying on glam, soul and soft rock outfits just to see what fits. Bonus points for the utterly bizarre centaur-Daltrey cover art, which is worth the price alone. FFO: The Who in their sequinned shirts phase, Rod Stewart with fewer football chants, classic rock singers getting weird on the side.
