Lovely bit of lost Liverpool history this. Care was Ian Broudie and Paul Simpson knocking about after the whole Teardrop Explodes / Wild Swans / Bunnymen orbit in the early 80s. Big romantic synth pop with jangly guitars and slightly dramatic melodies everywhere. They only put out a few singles at the time but the songs stuck around in cult territory for years. This finally pulls together the lost album stuff from the original tapes including early versions of My Boyish Days and Flaming Sword. Very dreamy, very Liverpool.
