Alexis Taylor wandering off into his own strange little pop world here. Paris In The Spring pulls in bits of country, folk, disco and soft synth pop and somehow makes it all sit together. Loads of lovely collaborators knocking about too including Nicolas Godin from Air and Green Gartside from Scritti Politti. It’s warm, melodic and slightly odd in places. Feels like British Americana drifting through some dreamy French pop filter.
