One of those records that quietly breaks your heart while pretending to be polite about it. Stephen Duffy trades his pop past for something more wistful and windswept here - pedal steel, brushed drums, and that sort of British melancholy that feels like watching the rain through a pub window. Needle Mythology have done a gorgeous job with the reissue too, finally giving this underrated gem the treatment it deserves.
