After a long quiet stretch, Of Monsters and Men return with All Is Love and Pain in the Mouse Parade - a title that’s somehow both daft and deeply poetic, which fits the record perfectly. It’s their most emotional and stripped-back album yet, trading the big festival-folk anthems for something more inward, tender, and cinematic. There’s still that Icelandic shimmer in the production - all mist and melancholy - but this time it feels more human, less mythic. Like they’ve swapped mountains for bedrooms and bonfires for candlelight.
