Peak sad bastard hours this. Everything’s just soaked in that late 90s grey mood. Guitars all fuzzy and woozy, basslines dragging you down a bit, and Brian Molko sounding like he hasn’t slept in a week. Big tunes on it as well, not just moping for the sake of it. Proper dramatic in places but it earns it. One of those records loads of people pretend they’ve outgrown but stick it on and suddenly you’re 17 again. Still hits.
