Bit nastier this one. Less swooning, more bite. Guitars sharper, rhythms tighter, everything just feels a bit more locked in and slightly paranoid. Still plenty of hooks but they’re wrapped up in something a bit darker and twitchier. Has that early 2000s edge where it’s catchy but also a bit grim underneath. Not as instantly big as the last one but grows on you in a weirder way. Sleeper. FFO: Garbage grittier bits, Nine Inch Nails lighter moments, Mansun darker cuts, alt rock with a bit of tension, early 2000s indie edge
