Stanley Turrentine’s Look Out! is one of those Blue Note sessions that just oozes mood. Recorded in 1960, it’s got that smoky, late-night swing where everything feels effortless but deadly tight. Turrentine’s tenor tone is all warmth and grit, rolling over Horace Parlan’s keys and George Tucker’s bass like a slow burn.
