UK first press 1978. A couple of pops at the start of side 2 but the rest of the record is great. Sleeve has minor wear.
Released in 1978, years after Morrison’s death, the surviving Doors set his old poetry recordings to new instrumental backings. It’s part spoken word, part rock album, and fully strange — Morrison ranting, whispering and testifying while the band weave moody soundscapes around him. Polarising but fascinating, and maybe the closest thing to a séance pressed onto vinyl. FFO: beat poetry with a backbeat, late-night mutterings over organ swells, and the ghost of Morrison refusing to leave quietly.
