Double LP of Belfast’s finest before Van went solo mystical jazz poet mode. Raw R&B, garage grit, and that voice already sounding like it was carved out of whiskey fumes and rainy streets. You get Gloria, Here Comes The Night, and plenty of other snarling nuggets that prove just how much swagger this band had. FFO: Belfast in the 60s, early Stones but scrappier, and garage rock that still smells of cigarette smoke and basement clubs.
