Solo debut on International Anthem and it’s a beauty. If you’ve clocked his work with Meg Duffy or that LA circle around Josh Johnson and Sam Wilkes you’ll know he’s not short on ideas, but this leans right into the rhythmic ambient side properly. Fourteen little pieces that feel small and huge at the same time. Not loads of drums but still somehow rhythm first. Swells of synth, warm guitar tones, proper harmonic depth so it’s not just “nice vibes” wallpaper. It’s pastoral without going soft focus, electronic without losing the human touch.
