There’s nothing humdrum about Humdrum. The Home Counties lot have nailed that wiry, sarcastic post-punk thing but made it properly danceable - like if Talking Heads grew up skint in Reading. Every track is full of jittery synths, shouty hooks, and lyrics that sound like they were scribbled on a bus ticket mid existential crisis. Smart, scrappy, and way too fun for how cynical it is.
