Soulwax are back after eight years, and they’ve clearly been holed up somewhere between a club, a lab, and a spaceship. All Systems Are Lying is a monster - sleek, funky, and pulsing with that perfect mix of post-punk tension and electronic precision. The Dewaele brothers still have it down to a science: live drums that hit like machinery, synths that purr like engines, and basslines that could power the national grid. There’s a hint of Ibiza sunshine hiding in the wires too, just to keep things weirdly euphoric. Easily one of the best records of the year.
