The debut, 1967, and still one of the most iconic first statements ever. Break On Through, Soul Kitchen, The End and of course Light My Fire — every track is a classic. Dark, psychedelic, bluesy and dangerous, it’s the sound of a band kicking the doors (aye) wide open and changing rock forever. Morrison’s baritone, Manzarek’s organ, Krieger’s guitar and Densmore’s jazz drums — pure alchemy.
