This is Radiohead before they realised they were Radiohead. Loud guitars earnest feelings and a band absolutely grafting to be taken seriously. Yes Creep is here and yes everyone has opinions about it but listen past that and there’s a scrappy hungry alt rock record trying very hard to make its mark. It’s awkward it’s sincere and it sounds like a group of lads about to accidentally become one of the most important bands of all time. Put it on with generous ears and it makes way more sense than people admit. We all started somewhere. Class.
