Early live Metheny caught just as the band were figuring out how to turn jazz fusion into something almost spiritual. Lyle Mays is in full flight, Metheny’s guitar tone is pure sunrise, and the whole set hums with that 70s ECM glow - technical but somehow completely human. It’s loose, warm, and a bit cosmic in places, like the sound of four geniuses politely melting your face.
