UK first press 1987.
Sleeker late period Bunnymen, big glossy drums, chiming guitars dialled into arena mode and McCulloch still sounding like he’s mid existential standoff with the universe. It’s punchier and more direct than the early feral stuff but still carries that tension underneath, proper 80s alternative confidence with a bit of bite left in it. This is them proving they could polish the edges without sanding the soul off.
