Decontrol is a Philadelphia-based punk band formed in 1979 by Adam Bomb Avery. Known for their raw energy and confrontational style, they became a staple of the local punk scene in the early '80s. Their self-titled cassette album, Decontrol, features tracks like "Progress," "Big Jack Six Pack," and "Monday in Hell," capturing their aggressive sound and DIY ethos. Over the years, the band has undergone several lineup changes but continues to perform and record, maintaining their rebellious spirit.
