UK first press 1979. Record plays with a crackle. Sleeve has minor wear.
This is the sound of the future turning up early and being deeply awkward about it. Cold synths twitchy guitars and Gary Numan sounding like he’s already bored of humanity and he’s only just arrived. Half punk half machine all paranoia and fluorescent lighting. Every track feels like it was written while staring at a flickering screen wondering if it’s watching you back. Still sounds weirdly modern which is annoying for everyone else. Absolute classic. Class. FFO Early synth punk, post punk with robots, dystopian pop before it knew it was pop, records that feel like a warning not a party
