Still sounds dangerous. Punk, blues, goth and rockabilly all smashed together with zero concern for taste or balance. Jeffrey Lee Pierce completely possessed, songs lurching between romance, violence and obsession like they might collapse at any second. It’s raw, desperate, sexy and unhinged in a way very few records ever manage. Not polished, not comfortable, but absolutely electric.
