Barely a year after The Kick Inside, Kate was already back with another burst of theatrical brilliance. Lionheart is lush, eccentric, and packed with the kind of melodies only she could write - all harpsichords, drama, and dream logic. It’s a bit gentler and more baroque than her debut, but just as haunting, full of ghosts, pilots, and characters only Kate could have invented. Theatrical pop at its most gloriously odd.
