UK first press 1981.
Early Bunnymen in full dramatic widescreen mode, but live and slightly unhinged. Big chiming guitars, cavernous drums and Ian McCulloch delivering it like he’s addressing the nation from a very moody cathedral. It’s brooding, intense and somehow still danceable if you’ve got the right coat on. Proper post punk theatre before it got polite. FFO The Cure early era, The Chameleons, Joy Division live energy, U2 when they were still interesting
