1980 and Yes without Jon Anderson for the first time, with Trevor Horn and Geoff Downes from The Buggles stepping in. The result is heavier, sharper, and more new wave than the classic 70s Yes sound, but still full of big prog ambition. “Machine Messiah” and “Tempus Fugit” are standouts that prove the band could shapeshift and still pull it off.
