An all time classic for a reason. Nasty, intimate, mechanical and emotionally wrecked in a way that still feels uncomfortable to sit with. Songs collapse into noise, hooks appear out of nowhere and disappear just as fast. It sounds like control being lost in real time. Hugely influential, still confrontational and nowhere near safe listening. If you don’t already own this you probably should. Class, in the bleakest sense.
