Noel’s second solo album finds him stretching out a bit — still plenty of big choruses and sing-along moments, but with a looser, slightly psychedelic edge. Sax solos, funky drumming, a bit of cosmic shimmer around the edges. It’s not exactly reinventing the wheel but he’s clearly having fun with the steering.
