US first press 1988. Record in beautiful condition. Sleeve still in shrink with hype sticker.
Absolute brain scrambler. Mathy but feral, tense but weirdly funky, like post hardcore trying to escape its own skin. You can hear the foundations of what would later become Gastr del Sol but this is rawer, twitchier, and far less polite. Feels unpredictable in the best way and rewards proper listening. Not background music. Class record. FFO Slint, Big Black, Shellac, early post rock when it still sounded dangerous
