This reads very “press release in a blazer” but the record itself is actually way nicer than that makes it sound. It’s not all big cinematic gestures, it’s more subtle than that. Proper slow build stuff, analog synths humming away, little melodic lines that just hang in the air. Feels clean but still human, not that plastic “epic chill” thing. You can hear the 90s and 00s influence but it’s not just copying homework either. More of a drift than a destination. Stick it on and let it do its thing.
