Beautiful cosmic jazz discovery this. Late 70s German quartet digging into that spiritual jazz zone with sax, piano and a rhythm section that just quietly locks together. The twist is the Indian influence with sitar drifting through the sessions and everything opening up into these really spacious improvised pieces. Apparently the band used to start by sitting in silence before playing which kind of makes sense when you hear it. Proper meditative deep listening stuff.
