Confessor were always a bit of a strange one in the metal world and Unraveled shows exactly why. Heavy as anything but the riffs twist about in weird directions and the vocals are way higher and stranger than you’d expect. Half doom, half technical brain melt. Not an easy listen but that’s kind of the point. Cult metal for people who like their riffs a bit unhinged.
