Foy Vance doing the big soulful Northern Ireland thing he does so well. Massive voice on him. The sort that sounds like it’s been dragged through a few late nights and a lot of life. The Wake leans into that proper rootsy sound. Piano, guitars, a bit of gospel warmth knocking about. One of those records that just feels honest. Stick it on and let the man sing.
