One of those Elliott Smith songs that starts off sounding fragile then suddenly opens up into something bigger. Still that soft voice and those sad little chord changes he was frighteningly good at, but there’s a bit more lift to it as it goes. Melancholy obviously, it’s Elliott Smith after all, but the melody sticks in your head for days. Beautiful and quietly devastating like most of his stuff.
