Ghost’s Meliora is the record where everything properly clicked - the moment their doom pop theatrics and satanic swagger hit full stadium stride. It’s heavy but ridiculously catchy, full of riffy anthems that sound like ABBA got trapped in a cathedral with Blue Öyster Cult. Slick, melodic, a bit daft, but in the best possible way. The production’s massive, the choruses are cult Level, and honestly, it just rips.
