Two masters of subtle sound-worlds link up again for Pareidolia. Ishibashi and O’Rourke weave something that sits between ambient drift, avant garde jazz, and film score unease. It’s minimal and restrained but full of weird little details that creep up on you the longer you sit with it. Not background music, more like background hallucinations.
