Pulp’s first new song in nearly 24 years, and they’ve somehow picked up exactly where they left off — sardonic, dramatic, effortlessly catchy. “Spike Island” is all slow-burn menace and groove, like This Is Hardcore wandered back out into daylight with a new prescription. Inspired by the overwhelming response to their live return, it gets a proper 7" release — their first on vinyl since 2013’s After You (produced by none other than James Murphy).
