Philippe Cohen Solal came up with the idea for this compilation, during the band’s first tour (2001-2003), which includes four original Gotan Project tracks, unreleased remixes, and bold musical crossovers: the hip-hop of Antipop Consortium, the high-energy house of Peter Kruder, the deep techno of Pepe Bradock, and Calexico’s musical take on wide-open landscapes. All of this is seamlessly connected through an inspired sound design mix that blends radio voices, historical archives, and field recordings captured by Philippe in Buenos Aires.
