Decca (4865049)
Release date: Sep 5, 2024, United States of America
2024 press. 180 Gram Vinyl. Mastered from Analog Tapes. Housed in Deluxe Tip On Sleeve. Recorded in the wee hours of Good Friday 1960, this impromptu Pacific Jazz session captured the easy-going alchemy of The Modest Jazz Trio featuring Jim Hall on guitar, Red Mitchell on piano, and Red Kelly on bass. It would be the trio’s sole album, a sublimely swinging set highlighted by the title track. This stereo Tone Poet Vinyl Edition was produced by Joe Harley, mastered by Kevin Gray from the original analog master tapes, pressed on 180g vinyl at RTI, and packaged in a deluxe tip-on jacket.
