Mid 90s concept piece that sees Alice leaning into his comic book villain persona, complete with a Marvel tie-in series. Musically it’s a return to tighter songcraft after a hair metal-heavy 80s, mixing hard rock riffs with dark, theatrical flourishes. Lyrically it’s full of Faustian bargains, street preachers, and creepy carnival atmospheres — very much Alice playing ringmaster in his own gothic morality play.
