The indie-pop sugar rush that soundtracked a million festival fields and car adverts in the early 2010s. Torches is all sun-drenched hooks, handclaps, and deceptively dark lyrics wrapped up in synth sparkle — shiny enough to dance to, sly enough to stick in your head for weeks. Pumped Up Kicks is the obvious hit, but the whole record’s still full of glossy, feel-good earworms with a hint of suburban menace underneath.
