Elegant gloom for grown adults who have accepted that chaos is exhausting. Warm basslines, brushed drums, strings that glide in like they own the place, and Stuart Staples delivering lines like he’s leaning across the bar giving you measured life advice. It’s smoother than some of their darker moments but still properly melancholic. Put it on and suddenly everything feels slower, heavier and strangely reassuring. Sophisticated sadness. Very tidy.
