GN’R in reflective mode and it really works. Big melodic hooks, Axl actually sounding human, Slash doing tasteful instead of shreddy for once. This is stadium rock with a bit of bruising and regret in it rather than pure chaos. Proper 90s radio rock done right and a reminder that they could write songs not just headlines. Still holds up. Class. FFO Aerosmith ballad era, Bon Jovi deeper cuts, Skid Row softer moments, hard rock with hooks and a bit of heart
