UK first press 1987. Record plays EX.
Early Scream before the full acid house enlightenment, all jangling guitars and slightly dreamy vocals drifting over a rhythm section that sounds like it’s trying to break free from indie rules. There’s a hazy romantic feel to it but you can already sense the restlessness underneath, that itch that would send them headfirst into dance music chaos a few years later. Proper mid 80s alternative with ambition bubbling away under the surface.
