Serious flex. This is Coltrane basically rewriting the rulebook while everyone else is still looking for a pencil. The title track alone is like watching someone sprint uphill for fun. Rapid chord changes, huge tone, band hanging on for dear life in the best way. It’s brainy but it swings, technical but still full of feeling. Not entry level. Not background.
